Kāpiti Olive Oil Was Awarded “Best In Show” at the 2021 Olives NZ Annual Awards
Kāpiti Olive Oil’s Frantoio blend took out the top honours which was described by the judges as “An outstanding and harmonious oil. Vibrant with a warm lingering finish”.
Kāpiti Olive Oil’s three other extra virgin olive oils; Picual, Koroneiki, and Leccino/Picual also took out high honours in the same award.
This highlights an 18 year unbroken track record of world class olive oil production. The highlights include three “Best in Show” Awards, three “Supreme Champion” Awards and eight “Best in Class” Awards.
Winning awards demonstrates that our olive oil is consistently world class and it gives reassurance to our customers that they are buying a truly premium product.
We are Diana and Grant Crosse and are the owners of Kāpiti Olive Oil.
For the last 36 years we have been sheep and beef farming at Weber, east of Dannevirke. Looking for a change, we bought Kāpiti Olives.
The olive grove keeps us connected to the land which is important to us.
So we swapped the East Coast for the West Coast and hill country for flat land. Our labrador now has 8ha to play in rather than the 1000ha we had.
We look forward to meeting all of Kāpiti Olive Oil’s customers and meeting some new ones.
